In Memory of Patrick Feeks, Sadie's SEAL
We at The Puppy Rescue Mission mourn the loss of one of our American heroes. Patrick Feeks, a fallen Navy SEAL, went beyond the call of duty earlier this year to save Sadie (momma to three other rescued puppies). Sweet Sadie has made it safely home to the US. But, Patrick was killed in action when his helicopter was shot down August 16, 2012. He was a son, a husband, a grandson...a true American hero who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We hope and
pray that his family finds comfort knowing what an amazing man he was. "You can judge a man's true character by the way he treats animals."

Paw Salute to Kalitta Air!
We at TPRM would like to send a huge Paw Salute to Kalitta Air for supporting our service members and their battle buddies - especially our Ocean's Eleven and a Cat!
SSG Nick & Bodhi - Together Again
When Staff Sergeant Nick first met Bodhi, he was extremely scared, filthy, and missing his ears which had been cut off. His owner was keeping Bodhi as a fighting dog. SSG Nick rescued Bodhi by trading a pack of cigarettes and flashlight for him. Without SSG Nick, Bodhi would not have survived. Bodhi arrived in the United States and was reunited with SSG Nick in May.
SSG Nick writes:
My family and I are really excited to have him become our newest member and can't wait to get him home to his new life. He just doesn't know how good he is going to have it. Thank you so much again for choosing to help Bodhi."

No Dog Gets Left Behind, Save the Pups, INC of Pennsylvania
The primary mission of The Puppy Rescue Mission, Inc. (TPRM), as stated in our by-laws, is to fund-raise and assist in pet rescue, foster and re-homing when needed, in particular pets of soldiers, especially those deployed in war zones. We assist with requests, logistics, administration and fund-raising for the adopted stray dogs of war rescued by and bonded with soldiers. This may include vet care, supplies, transport and related issues. We work with or through other organizations that help our soldiers bring their companion animals home from war.
“A dog does not discriminate. They do not care who you are, what you look like or what you do. The only thing in life they ask for is a little food to keep in their belly, some cool refreshing water to drink, and a pat on the head every now and then. I think we could learn a lesson or two from them. Someone with the most basic of needs that can give back the amount of love that they do - it's pretty damn impressive if you ask me."
